Construction timelines vary depending on your specific scope of work. Secondary bathroom remodels typically take between 2-3 weeks and Primary bathroom remodels take approximately 6 weeks. 

Kitchen renovations can vary from a couple days (updating counters and backsplash) to 4-6 weeks for a full reno and rebuild.

If I order furniture from you and change my mind can I return / exchange?

It is important to ensure you are confident in each product before purchasing. Returns are subject to each vendor’s specific return guidelines and if accepted are subject to restocking fees and inbound / return shipping costs. Custom Furniture / Artwork is non-refundable.

Do you charge a design Fee?

Yes, design fees are determined by the scope of the project and detailed out in the initial design proposal.

How long does it take to design and install a room?

Timing depends on how quickly a client can make decisions / how many revisions are made as well as product availability.

When renovating do I pay the contractor directly?

We work only with trusted / vetted contractors and all communication, payments and scheduling will be coordinated directly with Tappan Interiors.

How will I be invoiced and what payment methods do you accept?

Invoicing will be sent throughout the project at various completion times. Prior to ordering furniture the client will be invoiced 50% up front with the balance at install. Some custom products or specific wholesale accounts are invoiced in full at time of order. Invoices are sent via Quickbooks paylink and payable by ACH or CC with a separate processing fee.

What happens if my furniture arrives damaged? 

Product is shipped directly to a receiving warehouse where it is inspected at time of delivery. Any damage discovered will be noted and Tappan Interiors will work with the appropriate vendor to coordinate repair or replacement before the product is brought out to you.

Do you offer services outside of the DFW area?

Yes, Tappan Interiors offers design services in many states within the United States. Limited Construction Services are offered outside of the DFW area.

I’m building a home - when should I start ordering furniture?

We recommend beginning the design / ordering process between 4-6 months prior to your close date. Furniture lead times vary and Tappan Interiors offers the option to store ordered furniture at a receiving warehouse so that it is ready when to install as soon as your new home is complete.

Do you manage new builds or property additions?

At this time Tappan Interiors does not manage new builds or projects that require adding square footage to your home. Our construction projects are primarily focused on renovating within your existing structure. Tappan Interiors does offer consulting and can work alongside your builder to help select finishes.
